About Louie
Blending his love for Country, Folk, Americana, Classic Rock and Storytelling, Louie Sterls brings a fresh sound to the growing Americana Rock music genre.
Louie was born into a blue collar immigrant family from Mexico. He grew up in a turbulent and abusive home in Ridgefield, Washington, at the time a small rural town. He and his siblings were forced to quickly learn self-reliance and the value of hard work to take care of themselves. Louie also got involved in music at a young age. At just 7 years old, he began singing and playing guitar at church, school and community events. Inspired by his childhood exposure to artists like Johnny Cash and Randy Travis, Louie continued to explore new and different genres as he grew older.
During his career as a security guard in Portland, Oregon, he drew inspiration from The Beatles, The Mamas & The Papa's, Marty Robbins, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Marc E. Bassy, and others to begin writing songs about his own life experiences.
